The What's So Cool About Manufacturing? Video Contest - VOTE!!!

The What’s So Cool About Manufacturing? video contests were launched to create a new perspective and regional awareness on the exciting career opportunities that exist in manufacturing for students, parents, teachers, and the community. 

Burrell students participate in this project annually and have won the award for most creative video 2 of the last three years. Please take a moment to go to this website and vote for our videos this year, the HMS students that created them are very proud of their work and would love to show it off!

"Change" for Cancer is a local charity that was founded in 2012, by then 8 year old, Georgia Brothers from Lower Burrell.  She has been fundraising the past 7 years to give aid to local families in our community that are battling cancer......

Burrell School District Families: A Message from the Mayor

The Mayor has established a warming center for Wednesday and Thursday of this week at Lower Burrell Fire Department #3 on Leechburg Road.  The hours of operation will be from 8am to 7 pm for walk-ins. We will have staff on-call to respond to the needs of the public outside of the normal operating times of the warming center. People in need of assistance outside of the established operating hours, or who cannot make it to the warming center on their own, are asked to call 911 for assistance. The Lower Burrell Emergency Management Team as well as the City’s Police, Fire, and EMS services are on heightened alert to assist anyone in need due to the extreme cold conditions expected over the coming 48 hours.

Burrell Jazz Band/Small Ensemble Concert - Friday 12/10 - 7:00PM - BHS Auditorium

There is another perk to the concert.. the ability to make a difference and give to others.  The band is collecting winter donations to give to people who are homeless and in need. If you are able, please bring gently used or new ADULT winter coats, hats, gloves and scarves. Gently used sleeping bags are also in need.

BHS Drama Club Presents "Once Upon A Mattress" Once Upon A Mattress

This year the Burrell High School Drama Club's spring musical will be "Once Upon a Mattress" wherein an overbearing mother hopes to thwart her son's attempts to find a wife by creating elaborate tests for unwitting princesses in this comedic adaptation of the Princess and the Pea story.

Annual Senior Citizen Thanksgiving Luncheon

Burrell High School Student Government is sponsoring the 2017-2018 Annual Senior Citizen Thanksgiving Luncheon for Burrell School District residents with valid Senior Citizen Blue and White Cards, on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.

Reservations must be made by calling 724-334-1403, ext. 2045 between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Due to the success of this event in prior years; only 200 reservations will be accepted.  Call as soon as possible; deadline for reservations is Thursday, November 9, 2017.
